The Village


There are, in the village, a pub, The Crows Nest, run by Ginny and Patrick, and a restaurant/bar, the Levant, (run by Mieke). Their opening hours depend on the season. There is a shop, run by Tony and Marie, which provides a useful range of basic foodstuffs and drink. On the edge of the village is the Treasure Restaurant, run by Jan and Mustafa. Further down the hill is the Hilarion Holiday Village, this has an unheated pool open to non-residents and a restaurant/bar. There is a nightclub/bar (The Spot) in the village. It doesn't operate over the winter. The church is kept as a museum. It opens to visitors for a short while on Sundays and is one of the few Greek Orthodox churches which has retained its original fittings and icons. There are many walking trails accessible from the village.
